Sports car driver Pierre Ehret and the Rinaldi Racing Crew will tackle the 24h of Spa this weekend. With the crew Pierre Ehret (D), Martin Berry (AUS) Jose Manuel Balbiani (ARG) and Rory Penttinen (FIN) the green Rinaldi Ferrari with the number #488 will start this weekend in the 12 cars strong amateur class of the 71st edition of the belgium endurance classic. An epic grid of 72 GT3-teams will compete in this years edition of the world's biggest GT3 event.

"We are going into the race with a well-assorted crew within our class. Especially Rory is a real gain for the team. During the test days 2 weeks ago he achieved the fastest AM time in our Ferrari with a 2:20.001 and the 13th best time among almost 60 participants. This lets us hope, that we will be able to defend the increased competition in our AM class in this race."

This years edition marks the 5th 24h race of Spa for Ehret in his racing career. In the last 3 consecutive years the gentleman pilot and his Rinaldi team were regular visitors to the podium in the AM-class. Best result so far was a second place in 2017. In 27 races in the Blancpain Endurance Series to date the 63-year-old privateer has achieved 15 podium results. Ehret has been competing in the Blancpain Endurance Series since 2013 and has always been involved in the amateur class.
