Pierre Ehret and Stef Vancampenhout archieved a class-win in the GT3-Am-category at the 2nd heat of the Blancpain Endurance Cup in Silverstone. The Rinaldi-Racing Ferrari F488-Duo, who finished 2nd at the previous 3h of Monza, was engaged in a race long fight against other strong Ferrari-squads in their class like AF-Corse/Kaspersky Racing and CMR Sport but finished at the head of their class. At the finish of the 3 hours of Silverstone the belgian/german duo crossed the line 40 seconds ahead of the 2nd placed AKKA-ASP-Mercedes AMG-GT and further 6 seconds of the ARC Bratislava Lamborghini Huracan, who completed the AM-podium at the "Home of british Motorsport".

"Today everything suited well for us, although in qualifying it did not quite look that way. We had to overcome handling issues like a sight understeer, which we and our Rinaldi-Crew finally solved for the race. Stef and me established our position due to our homogeneous team performance. We both had similar good lap times, while in most of the teams in our class, which is only composed of bronce pilots, at least one slower pilot is part of the teams." Ehret analysed after the race.

"The weekend started with a solo-performance of mine as Stef was also engaged in the VLN-heat at the Nürburgring on saturday. So free practice and the setup-work was mainly my task. As a result I had still quite sore muscles in qualifying. What helped us today is that we now deal also better with the performance shortcuts of the new Ferrari, which was curtailed by the balance of performance since the start of the season."

The next heat of the Blancpain Endurance GT-Cup will be the 1000km of Le Castellet for Ehret and Vancampenhout. "It looks likely that we will extend our crew for this race, as the longer distance is a perfect warm-up for the 24 hours of Spa, where we will feature a 4 driver-squad. Our additions will be announced short-term in the next weeks"
