2014 Season starts at the 24h of Dubai
Pierre Ehret will start his racing season 2014 this friday at the 9th 24h of Dubai. It´s his second start at the arabian enduro and again he will start in the overall-winner A6-class (GT3). But this year he will be at the wheel of his own car. „This year I´ll start with my own Ferrari F458 GT3 which will be maintained by the german team GT-Corse and the crew of Rinaldi Racing. My teammates will be Alexander Mattschull, Marco Seefried, russian driver Vadim Korgay and Pierre Kaffer. Pierre was a late addition to the team as Alexander had some recent issues with his back and we wanted to make sure that we had at least 4 fit drivers. The lineup is very capable and the team is highly motivated. We should be able to fight for a top-10 spot.“
GT Corse has 2 cars shipped to the location in the United Arabian Emirates but will only race the GT3 at the race. „The team has also one Challenge-Ferrari at the track which will be used to save the GT3 for the important setup-work, the qualifying and the race.“
Pierre collected his first experiences in Dubai at the 2013-edition of the endurance-classic. „This was with Elton Julians Dragonspeed-Team. Our Audi R8 LMS finished as 11th at the end. I really want to improve this year on that result.“
