Pierre Ehret will contest his 2nd ALMS-race of the season this weekend in Laguna Seca. The 4hour race at the 11turn 2.238mile Circuit will be a kind of „homerace“ for the 56 year old german with residences in Germany & California.

“Although my real home circuit would be Sonoma Raceway. But I know Laguna Seca very well from my past races here. The track is not too complex but the real challenge will be again to adopt on the handling of the rear-engined GTC-Porsche. 2 weeks ago I drove a Ferrari-Cup-Car on the Nürburhgring Nordschleife and next week I´ll contest the 24h at the Nürburgring with an mid-engined Audi R8 LMS. It´s really a challenge to adopt on the different driving-styles & handlings for these different race-cars.“

In Laguna Seca Pierre will share the car with a new teammate. „Dion van Moltke will be my partner there. The 22 year old south-african who was born in Texas has 2 class-wins in the GTC on his belt yet. We will share the #44 car, while Teamowner Seth Neiman is scheduled to share the #45 with Spencer Pumpelly and Nelson Canache Jr. again.“

The 4hour ALMS-race on the californian track is the 3.longest of the season. Qualifying will take place today on friday at 4.35PM local time (=Sa 1.35AM MEZ). The race starts tomorrow at saturday at 3.30PM local time (0.30AM MEZ sunday). It will be streamed live on ALMS.com.
