ALMS, VLN and 24h-classics on Pierres schedule for 2013

GT-Pilot Pierre Ehret has fixed his 2013 racing-programme for 2013: the 56 year old German will run in 4-5 races of the VLN-Endurance Series on the Nürburgring Nordschleife where he also intends to return to the 24h-classic. Recently he has added 3 ALMS-Races to his schedule. Another 24h race may follow later this year, depending on ongoing negotiations.

„Additional to my programme at the Nürburgring Nordschleife I´ll contest the longer ALMS-Races in Sebring, Laguna Seca and Road Atlanta onboard the GTC-Porsche of Flying Lizzard. We will start with the 12h of Sebring this weekend. My team colleagues there are american pilot Brett Sandberg and the swiss driver Alexandre Imperatori. This will add to my 4-5 races with a SP8-Ferrari of the GT-Corse-Team on the Nordschleife and the 24h at the Nürburgring where I will start again on board of the Audi Race Experience R8 LMS ultra.“

At the 12h of Sebring Ehret expects anything, despite the hard competition in the class. „As a 12h-race is always open, my main focus is to acommodate to the Porsche 911 Cup. The handling is quite different to the Ferraris I´m used to here at Sebring. I somehow have to find 1-2s which I´m currently losing on the routined Porschepilots, till the race starts at saturday.“

The 12h of Sebring are due to start at Saturday March,16th at 10.30am EST while the qualifying is being held Friday at 1.15pm EST. All race action can be followed live via www.alms.com.
