Sportscar-Pilot Pierre Ehret is facing a double-programm in his 18th motorsport-season. The 55year old german with domiciles in Bavaria and California will contest the FIA-World Enduance Championship onboard of a Luxury Racing Ferrari F458 Italia in the GTE-Am-class. He will share the car with frensh privatier Francois Jakubowski and german talent Dominik Farnbacher. Parallel Ehret will have a taste of the mighty Nürburgring Nordschleife onboard of competitive GT3-Model in the SP9-class. This results in contesting 3 historic Enduros – the 80th 24h of Le Mans, the 40th 24h of Nürburgring and next weeks 60th 12h of Sebring – in one season.

„After the 2011 ILMC-season with CRS-Racing I wanted to continue on the highest level and the WEC was first choice. With Luxury Racing I found a dedicated team which is keen to go this year for double class wins in the GTE-Pro and GTE-Am-class. The addition of Dominik as a well recognised Pro-pilot rises the expectations in our squad. Originally Anthony Beltoise was planned as 3rd driver, but as Anthony is becoming father this year he limited his program to just national events.

The additional VLN-Program is limited to several rookie-tests, one race on the 28.April and the 24h of Nürburgring. I had the Nordschleife too long on my to-do-list and the highly experienced team that I am in contact with, offers a recommendable package for privateers like me. The ultimate goal is a finish in the 40th edition of the 24h at the ring, which will for sure be an as great show as the 80th 24h of Le Mans this year.“

All in all Ehret is facing a 10 race-program in 2012, including the FIA-WEC-rounds in Sebring, Spa, Le Mans, Silverstone, Sao Paulo, Bahrein, Fuji and Shanghai. In addition there will be 2 races at the Nürburgring, including the 54th ADAC ACAS H&R Cup and the 40th 24h of the Nürburgring. The team which will support Pierres car at the Nürburgring will officially be announced soon. Ehrets Season starts next week at the 60th 12h of Sebring, the common seasonstart of FIA-WEC and ALMS, where a grid of over 60 cars is expected.
